Optima unveiled its new line of Orangetop lithium powersports batteries at the 2022 SEMA show.
The ready-to-use, vibration-resistant Orangetops are IP67-rated against dust and water. They use Optima's latest technology for monitoring the battery's status, and they also include Optima CPR, which automatically disconnects the battery from parasitic loads to reserve enough power to start the bike. Six sizes of Orangetops are expected to be on dealer floors in spring of 2023.
Here is what Optima says about the new line of Orangetops:
The Orangetop with HyperCore Lithium Technology is bringing Optima power, performance and reliability to powersport vehicles. This ready-to-use, vibration-resistant, lithium battery is a lighter weight option with the power you’ve come to expect from the brand that established the performance battery category.
The Optima Orangetop features quad terminals for easier installation across a wider range of vehicle fitments, plus a microprocessor-controlled battery management system (BMS) that automatically monitors the performance of the battery. The Optima Orangetop also has an IP67 rating against dust and water intrusion and comes equipped with our patented Optima PowerLink system. This game-changing innovation provides a convenient way to control the battery, connect your charger and communicate battery condition. Finally, Optima CPR automatically disconnects your battery from parasitic loads and reserves enough power to start your ride.
